People’s Conservatory and Music School OstravaWe are here for you, for your talents, your wishes and your natural desire to learn! People’s Conservatory and Music School Ostrava offers education on a top professional level to everyone, who would like to develop their music talents, incl. persons with disabilities. We lead the children to culture and art in pre-school ages but we enable the adults or senior people to actively enjoy their free time too. Our students are educated in the artistic areas of dance, music, theatre and creative writing, fine arts, and creative photography. Those interested in studying of music subjects can study not only classic music genres but also jazz, rock, and popular music. The People’s Conservatory enhances the cultural variety of Ostrava city since 1957, thus it is 58 years. The Music School is here with us since 1991 and so it will very soon celebrate a quarter of their century of their existence. The founder of People’s Conservatory and Music School Ostrava is the Statutory City Ostrava. 17.00–20.00Creative workshop Let’s create our own original jewelleryWe will introduce the children participants with the drawing technique (drawing beads on an elastic string) an enable then to create their own original bracelet. The adult attendees will be introduced to the basics of so-called wire wrapping and we will show them the tools and material, and teach them the steps when working with a wire or semi-finished jewels. The attendees will have the possibility to create their own simple wire earrings. Presentation of a fine art subject at the People’s Conservatory and Music School Ostrava will also be a part of the workshop. 18.00–21.00Mini-course Beginning with a digital SLRShort introduction to the possibilities and potential of a popular photo camera. A part of it will also be a presentation of a subject creative photography at the People’s Conservatory. 18.00–22.00A bit of non-medial communication or can it be taught to write?Meeting the subject of creative writing and media communication in the practice of the People’s Conservatory. What the subject offers to the students, how we can use creative writing in communication, how it enriches people and what it takes in return (clichés and empty phrases)? A short presentation of students’ works. 18.30–19.30Concert of the music department.The students, teachers and their friends will perform with a classical repertoire. 20.00–20.45Performance of the theatre studentsThe theatre students will present their acting skills and abilities. 21.00–22.00A concert of jazz improvisations and a jam session.The students, teachers of the jazz and popular music department and their friends will perform. (Concert hall of the People’s Conservatory) All the events will take place in the Conservatory building at Wattova street in Ostrava-Přívoz, where the headquarters are located. |
